Own or co-own a residential property

One application per borrower

Joint Application Welcome

Apply with your spouse, parent, sibling, or child. At least one applicant aged 60-70 with both applicants not exceeding 70 years old

Reapplication

Reapplication is allowed post-settlement
Property

Mortgage Status

Mortgage-free, unencumbered, and free from caveats or Hibah

Application Limit

Only one property is allowed per application

Residency

Non-primary home

Insurance

Must have fire or home insurance/takaful coverage

Type of Property Title

Freehold or leasehold property (minimum 60 years at maturity)

Property Location Requirements

Must not located at high risk areas (e.g. flood or landslide prone areas)

How SSBT Works

SSBT converts your non-primary home’s equity into fixed monthly payouts through a simple mechanism. Throughout this period, you retain full property ownership.

You pledge your mortgage-free non-primary home as collateral without selling it

Cagamas pays you fixed monthly payouts throughout the loan tenure

Interest accumulates at a fixed rate over 5 or 10 years

No monthly repayments during the entire loan tenure

Settlement occurs at the end of the loan tenure
